Simulation and Characterization of a Miniaturized Planar Coil

The Master thesis of Florian Hämmerle focuses on a planar coil manufactured using a microtechnology based process.

Florian Hämmerle did carry out his Master thesis "Simulation and Characterization of a Miniaturized Planar Coil" at the Research Center for Microtechnology at the University of Applied Sciences Vorarlberg.

To verify the simulation results the equivalent circuit parameters of the miniaturized planar coil were measured using OMICRON Lab's vector network analyzer Bode 100. Finaly the difference between the simulated results and the measured values was <5%.

We thank Florian for allowing us to offer a pdf of the complete thesis on our webpage.
