Loop Measurement of Digital Peak Current Mode Control

This article by Dr. Michael Hallworth and Dr. Ali Shirsavar investigates a microcontroller-based peak current mode control of a Buck converter.

The proposed solution uses a discrete-time controller with digital slope compensation implemented using only a single-chip microcontroller. Detailed frequency response measurements are taken using the OMICRON Lab Bode 100 to confirm the stability of the converter.
