High-Power RFID Reader Measurement

This document deals with the impedance matching of a 13.56MHz RFID antenna that includes a ferrite shield.

The author investigates if it makes a difference to perform the impedance matching of the antenna using a small signal or using a real signal with a higher power than 13dBm (20mW). This procedure is also of interest when designing wireless power systems.
